Birthday Banners
Here's my card for February's last Viva la Verve sketch--and just under the wire, too! It took me a while to decide what to do with this sketch. I'm not thrilled with how this turned out, but it works.
For the sketch's diagonal striped elements, I used a pair of Pennant Trim die cuts on the pale pink panel. There were supposed to be a trio of diagonal strips, but only two fit on the panel along with the "happy birthday" sentiment from Verve's Treasured Words set. To add a festive touch, I dotted the pennant strips with a bunch of pink sequins.
After matting the pale pink panel on bright pink cardstock, I adhered it to a multicolored striped patterned paper panel. The panel was adhered to an easy to write on pale pink card base.
Materials Used:
Treasured Words stamp set, Pennant Trim die (Verve Stamps); Memento Luxe Rose Bud ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Raspberry Fizz cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Here and Now 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); pink sequins (Treehouse Studio)

I think it turned out to be rather pretty, Lori.
