I colored the mug image to match the colors in the delicate floral patterned paper I used to cover most of the card base. The coffee was filled in with the set's solid image stamp and brown pigment ink. After cutting out the cup, I adhered it to a cream circle using foam tape. To accent it, I die cut a red heart using RC's Love Note die set and adhered it to the edge of the cup.
The image panel was matted on a dark brown circle, then layered on to a cream panel. I tucked a strip of newsprint patterned paper underneath the image panel. The sentiment was stamped in dark brown ink directly on the text patterned paper beneath a contrasting red cardstock strip. I adhered the cream panel (and all of its layers!) to the card base. I finished the design by adding a section of a cream pearl flourish extending out from the top of the cup to look like a bit of "steam" from the hot beverage!
