Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 260-Scooting By

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Thanks to all who joined us last week at our new home on the new SSSC blog.

Scooting by to Say Hi card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper Smooches
Here's my take on this week's sketch.  I used the Paper Smooches Spiffy Scooters stamp set and coordinating Scooter Icons dies on this one.  My scooter was colored with Copic markers--I went with a cheery orange combo.  After die cutting the colored image, I used foam tape to adhere it to a dot embossed teal panel.  The panel was set on a pale gray cardstock panel over a tilted dotted patterned paper panel.  After adhering the stacked panels to a dark gray card base, I added the fishtail flag sentiment strip.  The sentiment was heat embossed for an extra pop.  The very last thing I did was add a bit of Glossy Accents to the lights on the scooter for a shiny, glass-like look.  I've learned the hard way to leave that for last!

To play along, just create a card based on the sketch and link it up on the SSSC blog.  Be sure to stop by the blog to check out what the SSSC team has created using the sketch.  And, don't forget to check in on Wednesday to see a few of our favorite cards made with the sketch.
