Thanks a Latte

Here's my card for this week's Viva la Verve sketch. I had such a hard time photographing this card--the colors are so much prettier IRL!

Thanks a Latte card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Verve Stamps
I used the sketch to make a coffee themed thank you card. The "thanks a latte" sentiment from Verve's Better with You set is the card's focal point.  I stamped the text in gray pigment ink on a Classy Label die cut, then added die cut hearts and a die cut and stamped to-go coffee cup to the panel as embellishments.

After covering a pale pink card base with a dotted patterned paper panel, I added a long fishtail flag strip on top, then added the sentiment panel.  I tucked a lacy doily underneath the sentiment panel, just beneath the right edge of the fishtail flag strip.  To cover the plain top of the strip, I used my Bow Easy to make a pretty white silk bow.  It's been a while since I used my Bow Easy--I was glad that I still remembered how this handy tool works!

Materials Used:
Better with You and Holiday Treats stamp sets, Classy Label, Cup of Cheer, Heart Quartet dies (Verve Stamps); Memento Luxe Gray Flannel and Toffee Crunch inks (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Insulation Pink cardstock, Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax die (My Favorite Things); Berry Sorbet cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Cut and Paste-Fresh 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); white satin ribbon; white paper doily; Bow Easy; foam tape
