You're Never Too Old

I'm joining in on the current Lil' Inker Designs Monthly Meetup with this sweet birthday card I made with LID stamps and dies.  The layout is based on the current Mojo Monday sketch, which was perfect for a festive card.

You're Never Too Old card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lil' Inker Designs
I built the card on a piece of pink patterned paper.  After stamping a birthday sentiment from the You're Invited Set on a white circle in pink ink, I layered the circle on the patterned paper, then added a pale pink cardstock strip on top.  For contrast, I edged the strip with a super narrow strip of darker rose cardstock.  I die cut a stitched party hat using the same rose cardstock and added that to the panel, overlapping the sentiment panel just a bit.  For a festive sparkle, I die cut a stitched star from gold paper and added that next to the hat, then scattered a few gold sequins around the bottom half of the panel.  The finished panel was layered on a coordinating pale pink card base.

Materials Used:
You're Invited stamp set, Stitched Stars and Party Hat dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Bubblegum ink (My Favorite Things); Sweet Blush cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Regal Rose cardstock (Stampin' Up!); gold paper (Target); Happy Days 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); circle die (Spellbinders); gold sequins; foam tape
