Color Throwdown 337-A Note to Say Hello

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Barbara's our hostess this week and she's shared a pretty color combination for us to try--orange, light blue, kraft, and green.

A Note to Say Hello card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from WPlus9
I went with a floral design using two WPlus9 stamp sets and coordinating dies--Fresh Cut Florals and Fresh Cut Containers.  The container was stamped in silver ink on a matching die cut. I wish I had copper ink--it would have looked nice with this combination.  The flowers are a combination of images from the two different sets.  I mixed and matched a bunch of different combinations of flowers and leaves before settling on what you see here.

I adhered the flowers and container to a pale blue panel.  The container was grounded with narrow strips of green and brown cardstock adhered near the bottom of the panel.  The "a note to say hello" sentiment was stamped to the right of the container in brown pigment ink.   I accented it with a trio of green enamel dots.  The finished panel was adhered to an olive green card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD337.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd337 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook, too!) with the username colorthrowdown.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our April guestie, my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge buddy Karen Giron.
