Enjoy Today

Here's my card for April's third Viva la Verve sketch.  This one had lots of layers and pieces, but I tried my best to keep my take on the design pretty clean.

Enjoy Today card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Verve StampsI used Verve's Small Packages set again, this time using the set's "enjoy today" sentiment along with the smaller cupcake image.  The sentiment was stamped on a yellow circle and the die cut cupcake was adhered to the circle with foam tape.  I added a tiny pink heart, cut with the Heart Quartet die, using foam tape, too.

The image panel was adhered to a yellow card base over a strip of multicolored patterned paper.  The colors and wavy stripes have a festive feel that's perfect for a birthday card.  A pale pink banner, cut with Verve's Pennant Trim die and stretched on an angle over the patterned paper strip, added one more final festive element to the design.

Materials Used:
Small Packages stamp set, Cupcake Frame, Heart Quartet, and Pennant Trim dies (Verve Stamps); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Barely Banana and Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Hip Hip Hooray 6x6 paper pad (American Crafts); circle dies (Spellbinders); foam tape
