Shoot for the Moon

Last week, The Cat's Pajamas released five new stamp sets, including Constellation Prize, the one I used for the card I'm sharing today. I love the whimsical penguins hopping around the moon!

Shoot for the Moon card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from The Cat's Pajamas
I started out by making a watercolored background panel.  After pressing a few distress ink pads on to my craft sheet, I spritzed them with water, then pressed and dragged a watercolor paper panel through the inky puddle until I got a mix of colors that I liked.  Once the panel was dry, I flicked some water on it to get the panel's splotchy look.

I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black ink (my favorite ink for these penguins!), then colored it with Copic markers.  I used foam tape to adhere it to the panel, then stamped the sentiment near the bottom of the panel in blue ink.  I added a few silver sequins to the panel to make sparkly stars, then adhered it to a blue card base, tilted on an angle.

Be sure to check out the current TCP Tuesday challenge.  The theme is Anything Goes, so it's the perfect time to whip up something fun with your TCP stamps and dies.  The challenge winner gets a Cat Cash prize and is in the running for the monthly Swanky Stamper honor. You can find all of the details on the TCP blog.

Constellation Prize stamp set (The Cat's Pajamas); VersaFine Onxy Black and Deep Lagoon inks (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Pacific Point cardstock (Stampin' Up!); watercolor paper, watercolors (Michaels); silver sequins; foam tape
