Mojo Monday 408-Happy Hellos

Happy Monday!  It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch and since it's the last week of the month, this week's sketch is a long and skinny one. I made a hello card to send to a young friend who's away at sleepaway camp for the first time.  Chloe the cutie puppy and I are dropping it in the mail on our (way too early) walk this morning.

Happy Hellos card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs

I used the Sending You stamp set and coordinating Mini Envelope Dies and Accessories from Lil' Inker Designs.  It's hard to find stamps to use for tween boys, but I think this pair of stamps and dies will work!

I stamped the hello sentiment in navy pigment ink on a light blue cardstock panel.  The stamped panel was adhered to a navy cardstock panel over a strip of red, white, and blue diagonal striped paper that kind of has a postage-like look and feel.  I adhered a narrow strip of red grosgrain ribbon from my scrap pile across the panel, just along the bottom edge of the sentiment panel.  A die cut envelope was adhered to the bottom of the sentiment panel using foam tape.  I accented the envelope with a tiny die cut navy blue star.

Head on over to the Mojo Monday blog for more inspiration from the design team and to add your own take on this week's sketch!
