You Get a Gold Star

Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  I used several different dies to put together this trendy gray and gold design.

You Get a Gold Star card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I die cut several sketchy stars from gold paper, then layered them to make a dimensional piece for my focal point.  The star was attached to a stitched circle die cut using foam tape.  I adhered the circle to a gray panel with rounded edges.  A pair of short gold fishtail flag pieces were tucked beneath opposite sides of the circle.

I used more foam tape to adhere the gray panel to a piece of pale gray chevron patterned paper that I cut with a large Blueprints die to get its stitched edges.  After layering the panel on gold cardstock, I adhered it to a gray card base.  I stamped the sentiment from the Count the Stars set in shimmery gold ink on a white cardstock strip and matted it on a slightly shorter strip of gray cardstock before setting it across the bottom of the cardfront.

Materials Used:
Count the Stars stamp set, Steel Grey cardstock, Die-namics Lucky Stars, Blueprints 24, and Fishtail Flag Stax dies (My Favorite Things); Delicata Golden Glitz ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); gold paper (Target); Just Splendid 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); corner rounder; foam tape
