For My Teacher
Here’s my card for the current Lawnscaping Back to School challenge. I paired Lawn Fawn’s A Good Apple set with the current sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for this teacher themed design.
I stamped and colored a pair of apples and a ruler image, then used the matching dies to cut out the colored images. They were arranged at the bottom of a dark gray die cut tag. I mixed and matched sentiments from the Lucky Stars and A Good Apple set to get the “for my teacher” sentiment for the top of the tag. The white pigment ink gives the text a chalk-like look against the gray background. The tag was finished off with a simple twine bow.
I die cut a second tag from red cardstock, then layered the tags on a kraft panel over a narrow strip of ruler patterned washi tape. The finished panel was adhered to a cream card base.
Materials Used:
A Good Apple and Lucky Stars stamp sets, A Good Apple dies, twine (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Wedding Dress inks (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Steel Grey cardstock, Die-namics Pierced Traditional Tag Stax dies (My Favorite Things); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); ruler washi tape (Michaels); foam tape
