You Anchor Me

Here's my card for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I used the layout to make a nautical scene using stamps and dies from Paper Smooches.

You Anchor Me card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper Smooches
To make my background, I covered a card base with a pale blue patterned paper panel on top and an inverted scallop edged darker blue panel on the bottom.  I added the sailboat from the Wicked Nauticool set on top, using foam tape for dimension.  To round out the scene, I added a pair of shimmery white clouds, die cut with the Clouds die set.  I stamped the "you anchor me" sentiment on a red strip cut with one of the Flag Tags dies, then adhered it to the right side of the cardfront.

Materials Used:
Wicked Nauticool stamp set, Nauticool, Flag Tags, Borders 2, and Clouds dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Real Red, Pacific Point, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Recollections Aqua Screen designer paper (Michaels); foam tape
