I Think You're Spectacular
Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I let the fun patterned paper do most of the work here.
I started out by creating a wide black frame from a stitched rectangle die cut. The patterned paper filled in the frame's opening. After adhering the patterned paper and frame to a white card base, I added the sentiment on top. The red mat sets it off nicely from the rest of the card. To bring in a bit more red, I cut a red fishtail flag strip and adhered it to the top of the card. I accented it with a pair of shiny silver die cut hearts.
Materials Used:
Geek Is Chic stamp set, Die-namics Blueprints 24 and Staggered Heart Border dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Real Red and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); silver paper (Target); Paper and Glue 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); foam tape
