Mojo Monday 414-Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Verve Stamps

Happy Monday!  It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch.  I used the sketch to whip up a sweet birthday card using Verve's Small Packages stamp set.

I colored the set's large cupcake image with Copic markers in shakes of pink and brown. After cutting out the colored image, I used foam tape to adhere it to the straight top edge of a pink fishtail flag strip.  I stamped the birthday sentiment beneath the cupcake, then adhered the strip to a kraft panel with rounded edges.  The piece was layered on to a piece of coordinating pink and cream striped patterned paper with a strip of solid pink cardstock across it.  The finished panel was adhered to a cream card base.

Don't forget--since it's the first Monday of the month, it's also contest time.  A stamp set from Verve Stamps is up for grabs from the lucky contest winners, so be sure to play along.  Head on over to the Mojo Monday blog for more inspiration from the design team and to add your own take on this week's sketch!  You can also find all of the Mojo Makers at their blogs here:
