TCP Tuesday 298-Hi

It's time for a new TCP Tuesday challenge at The Cat's Pajamas! This week's theme is anything goes, so it's a perfect time to pull out your TCP stamps and dies.

Hi card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-dies from The Cat's Pajamas
The adorable new CutUps Sock Monkey die takes center stage in my stamp-free card for this week's challenge.  I cut the sock monkey from kraft, cream, and red cardstock, then pieced the image together using the three different colors.  He's adhered to a grid patterned paper background that I framed with part of the new CutUps Country Fair die.  To fill in the scene, I tucked a section of one of the stitched speech bubbles from the He Said, She Said die set (this one's free right now with a $65 purchase!) underneath the top of the frame to make a cloud.

I used two of the balloons from the Birthday Balloons dies to spell out "hi" and make a balloon bouquet to fill the monkey's hand.  The finished frame was adhered to a kraft card base.  I added a red half circle accented with a pair of brads to the left edge of the frame to balance the design.  The finished panel was adhered to a cream card base.

Stop by the TCP blog for more inspiration and for all the details on how you can play along with the challenge.  Challenge participants have a chance to win a Cat Cash prize (with a little extra thrown in if you use TCP stamps/dies) and to be named the Swanky Stamper of the month, which earns you a slot in an upcoming TCP release blog hop along with a selection of stamps from the release!  Be sure to link up your card on the TCP blog for a chance to win.

Materials Used:
CutUps Sock Monkey, Country Fair, He Said, She Said, and Birthday Balloons dies (The Cat's Pajamas); Kiwi Kiss, Poppy Parade, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); designer paper (My Mind's Eye); circle punch (EK Success); twine (Hemptique); foam tape
