Wild About You

Here's my card for this month's Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try.  I colored up the large lion image from the Leaping Lions set a while ago and finally put him to use on this card.

Wild About You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Reverse Confetti
The lion was colored with a more golden yellow color palette than I've used on him before--my other lions were much more on the yellow side than on the orange.  I used foam tape to adhere the colored lion image to a golden yellow dotted circle with a stitched edge.  The panel was matted with a coordinating golden yellow pinking edged circle, then layered on to a green cardstock panel.

I dressed up the round panel with a stamped and die cut banner colored to match the lion.  I added a long kraft fishtail flag strip to the panel, tucking the edge beneath the lion image, then arranged a trio of green enamel dots around the panel.  The set's "wild about you" sentiment was stamped in the open space beneath the image panel.

Materials Used:
Leaping Lions stamp set, Leaping Lions dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Spring Moss and Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); A Boy's Life 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); stitched circle die (Lil' Inker Designs); pinking circle die (Spellbinders); Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax die (My Favorite Things); green enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
