Welcome to day three of Sweet Peek Week for the November release at SugarPea Designs! Today we're sharing a first look at the new Funky Wreaths-Christmas and Funky Wreaths-All Seasons stamp sets and coordinating SugarCuts Funky Wreaths-Christmas and Funky Wreaths-All Seasons dies.
I used a combination of the Funky Wreaths-All Season and the Funky Wreaths-Christmas stamp sets and the SugarCuts Funky Wreaths-All Seasons dies for my tent topper style card. It's been a while since I made this style of card and it's perfect for showing off these fabulous wreath stamps and dies. I stamped the wreath base in green ink on green cardstock, then added the evergreen branches on top. After randomly stamping the red berries around the wreath, I used the matching die to cut out the wreath. The "season's greetings" sentiment from the Funky Wreaths-Christmas set was stamped in red ink on a circle. I adhered the circle with the sentiment behind the die cut wreath using foam tape for dimension between the layers. The wreath was dressed up with a die cut bow and a coating of Glaze pen over the berries to give them a nice shine.
The wreath was adhered to the top of a square card base covered with a coordinating green striped patterned paper panel. I placed it carefully so that the card will still fit inside a standard A2 envelope. I added a contrasting red cardstock strip, edged with a bit of cream lace, to the panel to tie in the red found on the wreath.
Materials Used:
Funky Wreath-Christmas and Funky Wreath-All Seasons stamp sets, SugarCuts Funky Wreath-All Seasons dies (SugarPea Designs); Memento Bamboo Leaves and Lady Bug inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Factory Green cardstock (My Favorite Things); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Collecting Moments 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants Designs); cream trim (Hobby Lobby); Glaze pen (Sakura); foam tape
Love the idea of using the wreath for a tent-topper card! The patterned paper you used is a great complement to the wreath and I love the addition of the lace panel.
