Wish Big on Your Special Day

It's been too long since I inked up one of the Clear and Simple Stamps rag doll sets, so when I saw the large panel on the super similar sketches at Freshly Made Sketches and Can You Case It, I flipped through my rag doll collection until I came to the set featuring sweet Emma.  She was a perfect fit for the layout!

Wish Big on Your Special Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Clear and Simple StampsI stamped Rag Doll Emma:  Banner on a matching die cut, then colored the image with Copic markers.  I tried a new to me hair color combination and I think I like how it turned out!   To add a bit of sparkle, I used silver cardstock to paper piece the centers of the pennant that is stretched between the rag doll's hands.  Once the teeny, tiny silver triangles were in place, I stamped the HB2U sentiment inside them.  I love that the sentiment comes curved to fit exactly inside the pennant!

I used foam tape to adhere the image to a white panel.  After matting it on pale pink cardstock, I adhered it to a pink dotted patterned paper panel (left over from my holiday cards!).  The set's "wish big on your special day" sentiment was stamped on a bright pink cardstock strip.  The sentiment was set across the bottom of the card, just beneath the rag doll's feet.  The panel was adhered to a pale pink card base to finish the super girly birthday design.

Materials Used:
Rag Doll Emma: Banner stamp/die set, I'm a Princess Pink, Paint the Town Pink, Sterling Silver, and A Blanc Check cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); pink dotted patterned paper (Michaels); foam tape
