Best Dad Ever
I've made a bunch of Mother's Day cards, so while I still had my Lawn Fawn Best Pun Ever set out, I thought I'd put together a Father's Day card, too. This one is based on the current sketch at Match the Sketch.
I used Copic markers to color the set's trophy image, going for a gold-ish tone. After I was done coloring, I stamped the "#1" image directly on the colored image.
I paired the gold with a masculine red-orange shade and kraft cardstock, covering the kraft card base with a piece of coordinating bold patterned paper. A wide red strip that runs the length of the card breaks up the pattern a bit. I added a pierced circle panel and a pair of fishtail flag strips to the center panel, then topped the pieces with the trophy image, using foam tape for dimension. The "best dad ever" sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the red panel with the help of my MISTI.
Materials Used:
Best Pun Ever stamp set, Best Pun Ever dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Poppy Parade cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft and Fine Linen cardstock, Double-Ended Banner die (Papertrey Ink); gold paper (Target); Adventure 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); Die-namics Pierced Circle STAX and Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); foam tape
