Bee Mine
Here's a simple, sweet design based on the current sketch at Can You Case It? featuring one of the adorable "critters" from Clear and Simple Stamps.
I die cut a heart from red cardstock and adhered it to a piece of dotted blue patterned paper. To go with the heart, I stamped and colored up the bee image from the Taglines: Critters set. Originally, I planned to use the set's owl image, but I wasn't happy with how the colors I used looked with the heart and blue background, so I switched things up and used the bee instead. I used foam tape to adhere the bee over the heart and a narrow strip of yellow cardstock. I added a tiny piece of crystal flourish extending out from the back of the bee to form a flight trail.
Once again, I used my MISTI to help me double stamp the sentiment ("bee mine") so it would be nice and bold. The finished panel was adhered to a blue card base. CSS has a great range of blue cardstocks and this My Favorite Blue Jeans just might be one of my favorite colors . . .
Materials Used:
Taglines: Critters stamp set, My Favorite Blue Jeans, Dare to Be a Diva Red, Say Yellow to All Your Fans, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Shapes: Hearts dies (Clear and Simple Stamps); Memento Tuxedo Black and Versafine Onyx Black inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Recollections Blue Pindot designer paper (Michaels); foam tape
