Happy Monday! It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch. It's the last week of the month, so we're switching things up a bit and going with a tall and skinny layout.
I used the sketch to make a fun birthday card with a bold gender-neutral color scheme. The card is built on an aqua card base. I layered on a teal panel edged with a narrow red cardstock strip and a diagonal striped patterned paper scrap that pulls together all of the colors I used on the card. The panel was wrapped with a strip of red satin ribbon before it was added to the card.
I topped the card with a stitched fishtail flag panel. Since the fishtail flag wasn't as long as I wanted, I created a longer one with a bit of creative die cutting. The "sending birthday wishes" sentiment from WPlus9's Sending, Hoping, and Wishing set was stamped on the fishtail flag with teal pigment ink. To get a nice, solid impression, I used my MISTI to double stamp the words. A pair of balloons from the Whole Lotta' Happy set were added to the top of the panel to finish the design.
