Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
I'm joining in on today's Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with a summer inspired My card is inspired by one of the hottest summer drinks at Starbucks--the "pink drink" from the secret menu!
My pink drink is in a die cut to go cup from My Favorite Things. To get its fabulous shade of pink, I inked the die cut with two shades of pink distress inks. I paired the yummy looking summery drink with the current layout at RetroSketches. I used foam tape to adhere it to a light blue panel and added foam topping and a pink straw. The panel was edged with a fun floral print and topped with a pretty rose scalloped strip that I wrapped with pink twine. I stamped the "stay cool" sentiment on a rose cardstock strip and layered it right over the cup. A few enamel dots accenting the sentiment completed the design. And though the die cutting is simple, it still qualifies for MFT's Camp Create die cutting challenge!
Materials Used:
Stay Cool stamp set, Die-namics Cool Cup and Stitched Scallop Edges dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick distress inks (Ranger); Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Aquamarine and Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); Alphabet Soup Girl "Flower Patch" designer paper (My Mind's Eye); rose enamel dots (Michaels); pink twine (Divine Twine); foam tape
