Waving Hello

Here's a clean, crisp design inspired by the current nautical theme challenge at Global Design Project.  I used the sailboat from the Paper Smooches Wicked Nauticool set as the focal point on the design.

Waving Hello card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
The sailboat was colored with Copic markers and cut out with the matching die. I used foam tape to set it on an aqua panel over a darker aqua "wave" strip.  The waves were made by using a pair of small circle punches to punch partial circles of varying depths from the cardstock strip.  Super easy to do!  I tucked a shimmery white cloud beneath the boat, then stamped the set's "waving hello" sentiment next to it.  The panel was adhered to the top of a white card base with a red striped cardstock strip placed at the bottom.

Materials Used
Wicked Nauticool stamp set, Nauticool dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Hawaiian Shores cardstock, Pure Poppy patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); circle punches (EK Success); foam tape
