Sending You a Cup of Cheer
Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I put together a warm and cozy design based on the sketch.
I used a die cut mug made with the Hot Cocoa Cups die set for my focal image. After assembling the mug and adhering it to a pale blue pierced oval die cut, I added a bit of pearl flourish "steam" extending out from the top of the cup. The panel was adhered to a piece of plaid patterned paper. I edged the panel with a narrow strip of contrasting red cardstock, then layered it on to a coordinating blue card base. The "sending you a cup of cheer" sentiment was stamped in brown ink on a white fishtail flag strip, then adhered to the card so it overlapped the bottom of the mug.
Materials Used:
Hug in a Mug stamp set, Die-namics Hot Cocoa Cups, Pierced Oval STAX and Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Rich Cocoa ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Blue Bayou, Real Red, and Close to Cocoa cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Winter Wishes 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); pearl flourish (Want2Scrap); foam tape
