Time to Celebrate
I'm playing along in the current Mix It Up challenge at SugarPea Designs. I used the sketch and inspiration from the photo to create a birthday card using SPD stamps and dies.
Instead of creating something with a fall or pumpkin theme (from the picture), I used the colors from the photo as my starting point. I cut an orange balloon using a die from the Birthday Journal Card die set and added a die cut pale gray string. The balloon was adhered to the edge of a pale blue panel using foam tape. I stamped the "time to celebrate" sentiment from the Celebrate All the Things set on the panel in brown ink. I love all the sentiments you can make by mixing and matching the stamps in this set!
After matting the sentiment panel on olive green cardstock, I adhered it to an olive card base covered with a piece of coordinating patterned paper. A few orange enamel dots completed the design.
Materials Used:
Celebrate All the Things stamp set, Birthday Journal Card die (SugarPea Designs); Memento Rich Cocoa ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Sno Cone and Grout Gray cardstock (My Favorite Things); Good Fellows 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants Designs); Tangerine enamel dots (Doodlebug Design); foam tape
