Color Throwdown 419-Fall Florals Thank You

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Vickie is our hostess this week with this pretty color palette--red, green, and orange.

Fall Florals Thank You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite ThingsI used the Fall Florals stamp set and coordinating dies from My Favorite Things for my card.  I started out by die cutting a bunch of the floral shapes, then stamping the matching images in the challenge colors.  Then the hard part started--finding an arrangement of pieces that I liked. I don't want to tell you how long that took me and I'm still not sure I'm pleased with the arrangement on my card!  I think that's why I don't make a lot of cards with floral designs . . .  Once I finished arranging and rearranging my pieces, I stamped the "thank you" sentiment from the For the Boys set at the top of the green panel. The finished panel was adhered to a neutral kraft card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD419. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd419 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our November guestie, Marisa Ritzen, and this week's guest star stamper, Claire Grantham.
