Thanks a Bushel

I've been playing along with The Daily Marker 30 Day coloring challenge on Instagram this month and I colored up the apples in a bushel image from Lawn Fawn's Thanks a Bushel stamp set last week.  The image was perfect for this card for Fusion's current Primary themed challenge!  I used both the layout and elements from the inspiration photo for my design.

Thanks a Bushel card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
I made the apples the focal image of the sketch.  The image is paired with two patterned papers from October Afternoon's Schoolhouse collection that I rescued from my scrap pile and arranged on a kraft panel.  The red dotted and the notebook patterned paper picked up on elements right from the inspiration photo!  I added a bit of contrasting yellow striped paper at the bottom.  The "thanks a bushel" sentiment was stamped on the red dotted paper.  I used Versafine Onyx Black ink for the sentiment--it's my favorite for crisp, dark black lines.  The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating red card base.

Materials Used:
Thanks a Bushel stamp set, Thanks a Bushel dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black and Versafine Onyx Black inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Kraft and Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Poppy Parade cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Schoolhouse designer papers (October Afternoon) Dots and Stripes- Soda Fountain 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); foam tape
