Hello Honey
Here's my card for the current Muse challenge. I was inspired by the card's layout and and insect image.
Instead of a butterfly, I used a bee on my card. My bee is from the Paper Smooches Bee Mine set. I colored the bee with Copic markers and cut it out with the matching die. The wings got a light coating of sparkle courtesy of a Spectrum Noir glitter pen. The wavy cut that divides the blue panel was made with a stitched die from My Favorite Things. I adhered the cut pieces to a white card base with a silver strip placed across it to fill in the gap between the two panels. The bee was placed on top using foam tape for dimension. I stamped the set's "hello honey" sentiment beneath the wavy cut, positioning the text following the curves as best I could. I thought about adding more (some sequins or a heart sticker or two) but decided that in this case, simple was better!
Materials Used:
Bee Mine stamp set, Bee Mine Icons dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); clear glitter pen (Spectrum Noir); Sno Cone cardstock, Die-namics Hit the Slope dies (My Favorite Things); Recollections Silver cardstock (Michaels); foam tape
