Sending You My Love

Here's my card for the current sketch at Sunday Stamps.  The first thing that popped in to my mind when I saw the layout was an envelope, so that's what I ran with for my design.

Sending You My Love card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
I made my envelope from two layers of white paper, a rectangular base and an angled piece set at the top of the base panel.  To give the faux envelope flap some definition, I ran pale gray Copic markers along the panel's edge.  I used a red die cut heart, adhered with foam tape, as an envelope seal.  The "sending you my love" sentiment, made by mixing and matching text from the Lil' Inker Designs Sending You set, was stamped near the bottom of the card in navy ink.  The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating red card base to complete my easy to mail Valentine.

Materials Used:
Sending You stamp set, Stitched Hearts dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Nautical Blue ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Cherry Cobbler cardstock (Stampin' Up!); foam tape
