It's time for another Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess today with a fresh color combination-- cornflower blue, bright green, and white.
I used white as the dominant color on my simple birthday card design. I created a spray of flowers for the right corner of the cardfront using Reverse Confetti's Petals 'n Posies stamps and dies. For dimension, the flowers were adhered with foam tape and embellished at the centers with glossy enamel dots. I used a mix of stamps and die cuts for the sentiment. The "wishing you a" and "birthday" sentiments from the You're so stamp set were stamped in navy pigment ink, then the die cut "fabulous" was added to the middle, popped up on craft foam for dimension. The finished panel was adhered to a green card base.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD433. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd433 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.
Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our March guestie, Lisa Lara, and this week's guest star stamper, Denise Prosser-Soffa.

Aw sweet little card Lori.
ReplyDeleteLove the way your florals pop against the white! P.S. I see your Badgers are set up to play Va Tech in the first round of the tournament. The Hokies haven't faired too well this season, so I'm not real hopeful - lol!
