Crazy4Challenges 387-Shore Do Love You
I'm back with another card as a guest designer for Crazy 4 Challenges! This week's theme is to make a card using a summer destination. I went with a beach themed design featuring stamps from Paper Smooches.
I started out by making a sunny background with several blended distress inks on a watercolor panel. To make my panel into a beach, I added a pair of torn kraft cardstock strips and a torn white vellum strip at the bottom for sand and a foamy wave. The sand was topped with a pair of flip flops from the Summer Lovin' stamp set. I stamped the set's "shore do miss you" set on a kraft panel. After tying an orange satin ribbon strip around the top of the stamped panel, I added it to the top of the inked panel. A trio of tiny red hearts, die cut with the Tiny Hearts die, arranged next to the text completed the design. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating orange card base.
Be sure to stop by the C4C blog to see the cards created by the rest of the team--and to link up your project!
