Golden Thanks

This month's Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge theme is embossing.  I did some elegant gold embossing, along with some watercoloring, on this thank you card with a fall look and feel.

Golden Thanks card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Concord & 9th
I stamped the leaf image from Concord & 9th's Give Thanks set randomly in gold ink on a watercolor paper panel, then embossed the image with gold embossing powder.  To add color to the embossed leaves, I added some color with a mix of Zig Clean Color markers and an aqua brush.  So pretty!  The colors of the leaves looked a little harsh against the white panel, so I inked the panel's edges with some brown distress ink.  For the sentiment, I stamped the pretty script "thanks" sentiment on a wide vellum strip, then heat embossed the stamped word in gold.  I wrapped the stamped strip around the panel and secured it with adhesive on the back of the card.  A few gold sequins were arranged around the word as an accent.  The finished panel was adhered to an orange card base.

Materials Used:
Give Thanks stamp set (Concord & 9th); Delicata Golden Glitz ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger); Clean Color markers (Zig); Orange Zest cardstock (Papertrey Ink); vellum cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Zing! Gold embossing powder (American Crafts); gold sequins
