The Challenge is back with a new papercrafting challenge to inspire you! This week we're featuring an inspiration challenge based on the elegant chair in the photo above.
My card incorporates the chair's color scheme and floral motif. My flowers are from the Paper Smooches Lovely Thoughts stamp set. I stamped them in white pigment ink on vellum, then heat embossed them before coloring the back side of the vellum with Copic markers. It gives the flowers a pretty stained glass look.
After cutting them out, I adhered the flowers and leaves to a white panel with a strip of orange cardstock along the bottom. The orange cardstock was edged with a line of super sparkly silver glitter tape. I love that the glitter on this tape doesn't flake off! For the sentiment, I stamped the word "celebrate" from the PS Bold Buzzwords set on the orange cardstock in black ink. I thought about adding a few sequins or enamel dots, but in the end, I decided to let the flowers alone be the stars of the show. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating pink card base.
Check out what the rest of the talented team at The Challenge has created based this week's inspiration photo. Here's where to find them:
