Color Throwdown 456-Birthday Balloon Trio

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Lisa is our hostess this week with a trio of vivid colors--hot pink, lime green, and yellow.  I used the colors to create a fun and festive birthday card with stamps and dies from WPlus9.

I started out by creating a sunny yellow background panel with distress ink on watercolor paper.  While the panel was drying, I die cut a trio of balloons in the challenge colors.  I also die cut the word "happy" from pink cardstock and craft foam.  The pieces were layered and adhered to the left side of the panel.  I stamped the word "birthday" from the Whole Lotta' Happy set beneath it in pink ink.  After stamping the balloon string three times in gray ink, I added the balloons on top, using foam tape for dimension.  A trio of silver sequins arranged around the balloon completed the design.  The finished panel was adhered to a bright pink card base.
