Sparkle and Shine
Here's my card for the current (for a few more hours) challenge at CAS(e) this Sketch. I made a simple holiday design using the layout.
For the decorative edged strip, I positioned a trio of silver snowflake die cuts, cut in half, across the navy blue card base. To hide the not so even top edge of the line of flakes, I adhered strips of light blue and silver cardstock over the edge to give the decorative edging a clean look. The "may your holidays sparkle and shine" sentiment from the Lil' Inker Designs Winter Greetings stamp set was stamped just above the cardstock strips in silver ink. For a nice pop--and to match the words--I heat embossed the text in silver. I may go back and add a clear crystal to the center of each flake, just along the silver strip . . .
Materials Used:
Winter Greetings stamp set, Snowflake dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Navy cardstock (Reverse Confetti); Spring Rain cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Recollections Silver cardstock (Michaels); silver embossing powder (Hero Arts)
