You Hold the Key to My Heart

For my card for the current Fusion challenge, I took my inspiration from both the sketch and the inspiration photo.  I brought in the photo's woodgrain element, color scheme, and key theme to put together my love themed design.

You Hold the Key to My Heart card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from SugarPea Designs
My sentiment is from the SugarPea Designs Key to My Heart stamp set.  I stamped the words "you hold" and "the key to my heart"  in aquamarine pigment ink on a pale aqua circle, leaving space between the words to add my die cut key element.  The key was made using SPD's coordinating Key to My Heart dies.  I used gold paper layered on to craft foam to give the key some dimension.

I trimmed down a piece of woodgrain patterned paper from a 6x6 paper pad to adhere to the left side of the aqua card base.  I edged the right side with a narrow pale aqua cardstock strip to match the sentiment panel before positioning it on the cardfront.  After the woodgrain panel was in place, I adhered the sentiment panel and the key.  I accented the text and die cut with a trio of coordinating aqua enamel dots in different sizes.

Materials Used:
Key to My Heart stamp set, Key to My Heart dies (SugarPea Designs); Aquamarine pigment ink (Avery Elle); Hawaiian Shores and Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); gold paper (Target); Necessities-Wood 6x6 paper pad, teal enamel dots (My Mind's Eye); circle dies (Spellbinders); craft foam
