You Rock

You Rock card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  Dies from Lil' Inker Designs helped me to put this one together pretty quickly.

I designed the card around the scrap of striped patterned paper I found in my scrap pile.  After finding some coordinating cardstock colors, I edged the striped piece with a narrow strip of bright pink cardstock, then adhered it to a pale lavender card base.  I used LID's Anytime Tags dies to make a tag from a piece of green cardstock.  For contrast, I cut a "reinforcement" for the tag's hole from the same hot pink cardstock I used for the accent strip on the edge of the patterned paper.  I threaded the tag with a piece of pink grosgrain ribbon and secured the ribbon with a bit of silver cord, then added it to the cardfront.  The "you rock" sentiment from the Seriously Awesome stamp set was stamped on the tag in black ink.  I used foam tape to adhere a silver die cut stitched star just above the sentiment.  A trio of silver glitter enamel dots arranged around the tag die cut completed the design.

Materials Used:
Seriously Awesome stamp set, Anytime Tags and Stitched Stars dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Lavender Moon, Raspberry Fizz, and Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Recollections Silver cardstock, silver cord, pink grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); silver glitter enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
