To Brighten Your Day

I've had the Rainy Day stamp set from Hello Bluebird for a while, but hadn't yet inked it up. The large panel on the current Fab Friday sketch was perfect for showcasing one of the set's sweet raincoat-clad images!

To Brighten Your Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
I colored the image with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut to cut out the colored image.  It was adhered to a light blue panel with a strip of gray "road" along the bottom, using foam tape for dimension.  To fill in the scene, I added a shimmery white cloud and some silver raindrops around the image.  I edged the scene with contrasting narrow red cardstock strips, then adhered it to a darker blue card base.  The set's "just a note to brighten your day" sentiment was stamped on a wide red fishtail flag strip and adhered to the right side of the card, overlapping the side of the image panel and tucked underneath the raised image.

Materials Used:
Rainy Day stamp set (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black and Delicata Silvery Shimmer inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Blue Bayou, RealRed, and Soft Sky cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Steel Grey cardstock, Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Crystal Stardream cardstock (The Paper Cut); foam tape
