I Pick You

I Pick You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  Harvest Mouse is one of my favorite sets.  I have to admit that I love the sweet images, even though I'm not too thrilled to have my own real, live version of a harvest mouse roaming around my kitchen...

I colored up the pumpkin-toting mouse image with Copic markers, then used foam tape to adhere the image to a drab green circle.  I adhered the circle to a piece of leaf patterned paper with the leaves printed in a similar shade of green.  The "I pick you" sentiment was stamped on a kraft stitched sentiment strip.  After cutting the strip, I tucked the two pieces underneath opposite sides of the green circle.  I placed the patterned paper panel on a green card base, then arranged a trio of orange enamel dots around the image panel.  The orange dots add a contrasting pop of color to draw your eye right to the big, round pumpkin.

Materials Used:
Harvest Mouse stamp set, Factory Green cardstock, Harvest Mouse and Stitched Sentiment Strips dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Indie Chic "Citron" 6x6 paper pad, orange enamel dots (My Mind's Eye); circle dies (Spellbinders); orange enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
