It's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy Rohl is our hostess this week with a color combination based on this flower filled photo--yellow, green, black, and white.
My design is based on the current challenge at Global Design Project. I colored up a giraffe from the My Favorite Things Giraffing Me Crazy set with Copic markers, then cut out the colored image with the matching die. The image was adhered to a white panel with foam tape. After matting the panel on contrasting black cardstock, I adhered it to the top right side of a yellow card base. A strip of green "grass" cut with a border punch was tucked beneath the giraffe's feet. The two sentiments, one from the Jungle Friends set and one from the Sweet Safari set, were stamped along the sides of the image panel. The fonts aren't exactly the same, but I think they're close enough to work together...
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD524. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd524 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, January's Guest Designer, Vicki Finger, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Rosemary Dennis.

I've seen a couple of other events at other places, but this was my first time in here. It was amazing! Great Chicago event venues, bit smaller than those bigger places but it is still a fair sized venue. Food was great and I think it's recently renovated - it didn't seem old or anything.
