Shoot for the Stars

The theme for this month's Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge is encouragement and congratulations.  With its "shoot for the stars" sentiment, RC's Moon Men set is perfect for an encouraging design.

Shoot for the Stars card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
I colored up a bunch of images from the set using Copic markers and cut them out using the matching dies.  I set them aside while I created a blended ink background panel using several distress inks and some water droplets for stars.  After adding a "moon," complete with debossed craters at the bottom of the background panel, I played around with the arrangement of my images until I settled on what you see here.  I put the images in place with foam tape, then added the silver embossed sentiment strip over the moon.  The finished panel was adhered to a navy card base to match the sentiment strip.

Materials Used:
Moon Men stamp set, Navy cardstock, Moon Men dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Tuxedo Black and Delicata Silvery Shimmer inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Wilted Violet distress oxides (Ranger); markers (Copic); Crystal Stardust cardstock (The Paper Cut); Polka Dots embossing folder (Lifestyle Crafts); silver embossing powder (Hero Arts); foam tape
