Have a Very Sweet Holiday

Here's my card for the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  I used the layout for a cookie-themed holiday design.

Have a Very Sweet Holiday card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn
I stamped a trio of gingerbread cookies from Lawn Fawn's new How You Bean? Christmas Cookie Add-on stamp set in white pigment ink on tan cardstock, then heat embossed the ink with white to get an icing-like look.  The cookies were cut out by hand, then brushed with a bit of Tea Dye distress ink to give them a little color variation.

To go with my holiday theme, I covered a red card base with a red, green, and kraft-ish patterned paper panel.  I added a red strip, edged with gold, across the top, then heat embossed the "have a very sweet holiday" sentiment from the Merry Messages on it in white.  The gingerbread cookies were added to the cardfront using foam tape for dimension.

Materials Used:
How You Bean? Christmas Cookie Add-on and Merry Messages stamp sets (Lawn Fawn); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger); Creamy Caramel cardstock (Stampin' Up!); gold paper (Target); Red Punch cardstock, Cozy Lodge 6x6 paper pad, Snow embossing powder (Recollections); foam tape
