Out of this World

Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  I used the layout for a space themed design featuring the Out of this World stamp set.

I colored up one of the set's rocket images and a planet image using Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut to cut out the colored image.  For my space-like background, I used one of the Card-Sized Star Confetti stencils to stencil silver stars on to a dark blue card base.  I covered half of the cardfront with a panel of shimmery white cardstock that I debossed with a white dotted embossing folder for a crater-like look, leaving half of the star-studded blue background visible.  The rocket and planet were added on top using foam tape for dimension.  I stamped the "you're out of this world" sentiment in black ink on a narrow red cardstock strip and adhered it beneath the rocket ship to represent the layout's third round element.  It's a little stretch, but I think it still fits the bones of the sketch!
