Color Throwdown 601-Jumpin' Up to Say Yay

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy Rysavy is our hostess this week with a great mix of colors-orange, burgundy, green, and pink.

Jumpin' Up to Say Yay card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn
I paired the colors with the current challenge at Sunday Stamps and a fun stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  I colored up the fox and balloon images from the Really High Five stamp set using Copic markers, then cut out the colored images using my Scan 'n Cut machine. It's hard to see in the photo but I added a bit of texture to the fox's belly and tail with white flock. For the background, I used a cloud stencil and distress oxides to create a vibrant sky.  The images were arranged on the stenciled panel using foam tape for dimension.  I stamped the set's "jumpin' up to say yay!" sentiment on a green cardstock strip and added it to the cardfront, tucking one end underneath the fox image.  It's not the most traditional or realistic sky, but I love how it looks here.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD601If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd601 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Rosemary Dennis.
