You Are Appreciated

Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. With school starting here this week, I went with a teacher themed design featuring MFT's Lessons in Love stamp set

You Are Appreciated card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things

I colored up the teacher with Copic markers. Though I think the item she's carrying in her arms is meant to be a book or notebook, in our current world, it's more likely to be a Chromebook like the district-issued one I have on my desk!  After coloring the image I used my Scan 'n Cut machine to cut it out.  I placed it on a long kraft fishtail flag stamped with the "you are appreciated" sentiment from the Favorite Teacher stamp set, using foam tape for dimension. The kraft flag was adhered to a blue star patterned paper panel over a trio of bold red cardstock strips.  The finished panel was adhered to a red card base matching both the strips on the cardfront and the teacher's cardigan.

Materials Used:
Lessons in Love and Favorite Teacher stamp sets, Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Red Punch cardstock (Recollections); Report Card 8x8 paper pad (October Afternoon); foam tape
