Here's my card for the current Lawn Fawnatics "What's the Weather?" themed challenge. I paired the theme with the current sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesday for this sweet design with a love theme.
I used Lawn Fawn's Hello Sunshine dies to create a bright yellow sun and a pair of shimmery white clouds. The pieces were adhered to a panel of diagonally striped blue patterned paper using foam tape for dimension. I matted the panel on coordinating blue cardstock before adhering it to a fun rainbow patterned paper from the original Hello Sunshine 6x6 paper pad. To break up the pattern a bit, I adhered a strip of red cardstock down the left side of the patterned paper before topping it with the sun and cloud adorned piece. A narrow strip of pale pink cardstock was tucked beneath the bottom edge of the sun and cloud panel. I combined sentiments from the All the Clouds and Village Heroes stamp sets to create the "you are my sunshine" sentiment that is stamped at the bottom left of the striped panel. I adhered the patterned panel to a blue card base, then added a trio of silver sequin raindrops beneath the clouds to give the design a bit of sparkle.
Materials Used:
All the Clouds and Village Heroes stamp sets, Hello Sunshine 6x6 paper pad, Hello Sunshine dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Bright Buttercup cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Ocean, Rose Petals, and Red Punch cardstock (Recollections); Crystal Stardream metallic cardstock (The Paper Cut); silver sequins; foam tape
