Out of This World

Out of This World card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn

Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. I created a space themed birthday design using stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn. I imagined the layout's large round panel as a moon, so I cut a circle from yellow cardstock and debossed it with a polka dot pattern to give it a crater-like look. The panel was adhered to the left side of a dark blue card base, then trimmed down to be flush with the edge of the cardfront. I stamped and colored the rocket image from the Out of This World set, then cut out the colored image with the matching die. It was adhered to the yellow panel using foam tape for dimension. I stamped the set's "hope your birthday is out of this world" sentiment at the bottom of the cardfront in black ink. A trio of silver sequin "stars" scattered around the cardfront completed the design.

Materials Used:
Out of This World stamp set, Out of This World dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Ocean cardstock (Recollections); Daffodil Delight cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Polka Dots embossing folder (Lifestyle Crafts); silver sequins; foam tape
