It's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy Rohl is our hostess this week with an elegant mix of colors--black, white, and either gold or silver.
I created a festive stamp-free card using dies from Reverse Confetti. The glasses were cut from white vellum. I used the same die and scraps of gold foil cardstock to cut the pieces for the drink inside the glasses. The foil pieces hide the foam tape that I used to adhere the glasses to the white panel. The "cheers" sentiment was also cut from gold foil cardstock, then placed on the panel to the left of the glasses. To bring in some contrast, I adhered a strip of gold foil cardstock to the bottom of the panel, tucking it beneath the stems of the glasses, then added a narrow strip of black cardstock along the top edge of the gold piece. The panel was adhered to a black card base for an elegant look. A trio of clear sequin "bubbles" were positioned over each glass for a final festive element.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD673. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd673 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's guest star stamper .
