It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lynn is our hostess this week with a mix of colors inspired by a yummy charcuterie board--red, pink, cranberry, and brown/kraft.
I'm recovering from a breakthrough COVID infection (the last twelve months have just been one thing after the other...), so I kept things clean and simple. I made a love themed design using a critter from Reverse Confetti's Huggable stamp set and Big Love die set. The bear was colored with Copic markers, then cut out by hand. I used the Big Love die to cut L, V, and E from berry red cardstock, then arranged the letters on a pale pink card base along the top of a strip of cranberry cardstock. The bear was positioned between the L and the V using foam tape for dimension. The "you" from the Whole Lotta Happy stamp set was stamped on the cranberry strip in black ink to finish the design.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD678. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd678 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's guest star stamper Deborah Wheeler.
