It's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy Rysavy is our hostess this week with a vibrant mix of colors--aqua, yellow, purple, and coral.
The layout for my summery design is based on the current challenge at TGIF Challenges. I haven't done much Copic coloring lately, so I brushed up my skills on the floating cutie from the My Favorite Things Drink Up the Sunshine stamp set. After coloring, I fussy cut the colored image, then used foam tape to position the image on a round aqua panel with aqua dotted "water" at the bottom. To fill in the scene I added a pair of vellum clouds, partially tucking them behind the raised image. I matted the panel on contrasting purple cardstock before adhering it to a coral cardstock panel with a strip of yellow floral paper across the center. The "hey, sunshine" sentiment from MFT's Hey Sunshine set was stamped on a yellow pinking circle die cut and placed at the bottom of the image panel with foam tape. The finished panel was adhered to a purple card base.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD701. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd701 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Anna York.
